TRS heads for spectacular win in Warangal

The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is heading for a spectacular win in Warangal Lok Sabha seat with its candidate Pasunoori Dayakar establishing an unassailable lead of more than 3.8 lakh votes. At the end of the 15th round of counting today, Dayakar secured 5,11,608 votes, leaving behind Congress nominee and former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana (1,30,253) and BJP-TDP combine's Pagidipati Devaiah (BJP) (1,00,456) in the distinct second and third positions. The November 21 bypoll was necessitated following the resignation of Kadiyam Srihari after he was made Deputy Chief Minister. Srihari had won the seat with a margin of 3.92 lakh votes in last year's election. "A big thanks to Warangal. You've inspired us to work more and better", tweeted K Taraka Rama Rao, the Minister for Panchayatraj, Rural Development and Information Technology and son of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
