Indian journalist elected Deputy Mayor in UK

An Indian journalist has been elected the Deputy Mayor of Loughton town in the UK. The announcement made today said that Councillor Philip Abraham from Kerala has been unanimously elected to the post. Councillor Carol Davis, the newly-elected mayor presented the Deputy Mayor's Badge to Philip Abraham. He had in 2012 won the election to the Loughton Town Council. Loughton is a vibrant town in the Epping forest district of Essex. The deputy mayor normally goes on to become the mayor for the following year.
