Type of polio virus found in T'gana to be eliminated: Health Minister

The Telangana government is determined to eradicate the particular type of polio virus that has surfaced here, state Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said here today. Reddy held a meeting with an expert on polio and other viruses, who met him, a state government release said. Expressing the government's determination to eliminate the virus, Reddy said, as per WHO protocols, the IPV (inactivable polio vaccination) would be given by special teams in 12 sectors here during June 20-26.
