The body of Nalgonda youth killed in Noida brought to Hyderabad
The shocking day-light gunning down of Nalgonda boy Ramaraju Sandesh, studying B.Sc Marine Sciences at Amity University in Noida no Saturday has sent shockwaves in Telangana.
The victim staying in a rented flat in Sector 100 of Noida was shot dead from point blank range. The incident took place when some persons rang the doorbell of the victim's flat and fired at him. Sandesh used to say at Lotus Boulevard Society with his friends, also students of the same university.
The deceased, an undergraduate student, was staying with his friends – Madhur and Nadeem in the flat. According to information, after Sandesh opened the door, gun shots were heard. By the time Nadeem rushed out, he saw two persons escaping from the scene. The Nalgonda boy was declared brought dead to a local hospital.
Sandesh was the younger son of the two children of Ramaraju Shyam Sundar Rao, working as Superintendent in Nalgonda District Cooperative Central Bank at Devarakonda. While the eldest son Ramaraju Santosh works in the U.S., the victim had joined Amity University two years ago after completing Intermediate from Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Hyderabad.
Grief-stricken father of the deceased rushed to Delhi to bring back the mortal remains. When contacted, Praveen Kumar, uncle of Sandesh told The Hindu, “We do not have any information on what happened in Noida. We are shell shocked by the incident. We are trying to break the shocking news to Sandesh’s mother Roopa, who is in Hyderabad.”
A pall of gloom descended on the residence of the victim in Srinagar Colony in Nalgonda town. Neighbours of Sandesh remember him as a very good meritorious student, who always maintained a low profile. A native of Atmakur mandal in Nalgonda district, victim’s father had shifted to the district headquarters 13 years ago and constructed a house.
It was shocking development for K. Chenna Keshava Reddy, childhood friend of Sandesh and classmate from Class VIII to X in SPR School of Excellence in Nalgonda town. Student of Sri Indu Engineering College in Hyderabad, Chenna Keshava Reddy said Sandesh had come recently to Nalgonda during holidays.
“He is a very kind guy and calm going. He will never ever indulge in a quarrel. A jovial person, Sandesh always used to make every one happy. It is really shocking to hear about his untimely death,” he recalled.
