Govt rules out Jaitley's resignation over DDCA issue

The government today said there is no question of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley resigning in the wake of alleged irregularities in Delhi District Cricket Association, DDCA. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu told reporters outside Parliament that Mr Jaitley has done nothing wrong. Mr Naidu also said, there is no relevance and no connection of raising the issue of DDCA in Parliament. The Minister also charged the Congress with adopting diversionary tactics to disrupt proceedings in Parliament and dragging state related issues for discussion on the floor of two Houses. Mr. Naidu hit out at Congress saying it is bringing manufactured issues to disrupt Parliament. He said the passage of key legislations including the Goods and Services Tax bill and Real Estate bill are getting delayed due to the protest by the Congress. Mr.Naidu said opposition party is coming up with unnecessary issues and desperate to create ruckus in Parliament.
