Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today sanctioned 350 two-bedroom houses for economically-backward members of the Malayali community residing in the city.
Speaking in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a 'Kerala Bhavan' here, Rao said, "I have just received a list of 350 members of poorest of the poor Malayalis settled in Hyderabad.
"I am announcing we are sanctioning double-bedroom houses for them with immediate effect."
Earlier, on February 1, Rao had announced the allotment of one acre land for the Bhavan and Rs 1 crore as financial assistance towards the construction of the building.
