DSP suspended following arrest in corruption case

A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was suspended after he was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him. "Kurra Surender, DSP Jangaon was placed under suspension today by Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma after he was arrested by ACB and remanded to judicial custody on charge of possessing disproportionate assets," Additional DGP Sudeep Laktakia said in a release. "The DSP was suspended as part of exercise to clean up the corrupt elements in the police department," it added.
