Injustice will not be done to Rayalaseema, assures Naidu

Hitting out at the leaders who alleged that injustice was being done to Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, state Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said he is ready to challenge the critics to prove them wrong. "Some are speaking as they wish saying that injustice is being done to Rayalaseema. I am asking now. I am throwing a challenge. I developed Hyderabad then. It was our leader N T Rama Rao, who developed Rayalaseema, and after him, it was me who developed. It is my responsibility to make it green and developed," he said. Naidu was addressing a public meeting in Kurnool district in Rayalaseema region, where he participated in development programmes. "I am asking where did injustice happen? An urdu university here, IIIT, an industrial township at Orvakal, processing units at Tangadancha we started. I am asking you what happened during your regime? Some are speaking as they wish as they are unable to digest the development being done by me," he said. Rayalaseema remained backward because the political leaders and other strongmen in the region created unfavourable atmosphere for investors, who wanted to set up industries, he said. Naidu, who belongs to Chittoor district in the region, reminded people that he is a son of the soil. "Injustice will not be done to Rayalaseema till the last drop of my blood exists," Naidu added.
