Head constable found dead

A 48-year-old head constable belonging to Cyberabad Armed Reserve Police was found dead with a bullet wound in the wee hours today. The body of Khaja Moinuddin, a native of Nalgonda district, who was on guard duty at Amberpet police lines, bore a bullet wound on the lower part of the chin that may have been the cause of death, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch Sudhakar said. "We found him dead with the rifle (SLR) besides him. The body has been sent to postmortem. A bullet appeared to have pierced through his chin. We have found out that he was suffering from health complications," Sudhakar said. The police officer ruled out the possibility of accidental misfire of the gun. A case has been registered under relevant sections of suspicious death and investigation is on, he added.
