Telangana experiences hottest April

In Telangana, maximum temperatures have gone to a record high level during the past 24 hours with Ramagundam recording maximum temperature at 46.1 degree Celsius. Met officials informed that several swathes of the State also recorded high day time temperatures in unprecedented manner. Nizamabad recorded 45.1 degrees while Adilabad recorded 44.8 degrees Celsius. Weather men attribute the severe heat wave to the global factors like El Nino effect and north westerly winds. So far, 45 persons died in the State during the current season. With an aim to prevent such incidents, the state government has issued orders not to make daily wagers to work in heat and provide them shade especially during the peak hours. The Met records indicating that the state witnessed this time the hottest April first time in the past decade time.
